May always proves to be a busy month for us. With the end of a school year and the weather getting warmer we are always out and about doing something. On May 5th we ran the Lake Run in Bloomington. Justin won second in his age group and fifth place overall for the 12K! This race is always a fun one because there is a great food spread and all you can drink beer at the end. Joining us this year at the race were Josh, Krit, Kylee, and Addy. Darla and Larry and Jess was there too! Jess won second place in her age group as well. Those Staneks are running fools :)

The following week was Emily's birthday and graduation. Justin participated in graduation in full regalia. I had fun in Springfield with Emily, John and all their friends. We started the day walking the fat ass 5K. This race was very entertaining. You ate your way through the course. The food included donuts, hot dogs, corn dogs, ice cream and beer to wash it all down with! That evening we went to a Japanese hibachi restaurant and out to a winery.

This weekend we completed the Tour de Iowa. We started the weekend in Manchester where Justin and his dad golfed. Then we traveled to Iowa City to drop off Cal-dog. We continued on to Des Moines where we tailgated at a ICubs game and celebrated the upcoming wedding of Nat and Andrea.
Summer is officially upon us and I can't be happier....we have certainly started out good with three days of backyard fires and relaxing! To all our friends and family, HERE'S TO AN EXCITING AND RELAXING SUMMER!!!!
