Suprise Birthday Bash
I got a huge suprise this weekend!!!
I thought we were spending my birthday in Chicago for a little fondue, friends and Tony and Tina's wedding (a show in Chicago) but when we started traveling down the wrong road on Friday I knew we were not going to Chicago. Justin had planned a fantastic suprise party that involved all of our family.
We drove into Galena, Illinois to a four bedroom house that he told me was owned by someone Josh knew. I thought...alright this could be cool. Relaxing and eating some good food. But the house sure seemed empty and a bit large for two people. We went into Galena for a steak dinner at The Log Cabin and Justin sure had to use the restroom a lot. I later found out that he was getting phone calls from Emily and Josh. Emily was lost and Josh, pulled over by a cop. So, he kept thinking of things for us to do. We stopped over at the local VFW for a beer. Then he said that he wanted to go back to the house. (it was 8) When we got there....I was immediately scared. There was a light on that I knew wasn't on when we left and there was a DVD screesaver going on the TV and we definately didn't touch the tv. I told Justin I wasn't going in there and he kept walking behind me feeding me to what I was sure were the wolves. When we got in the door I saw someone sitting at the breakfast bar and I said there is someone in here! and then the lights came on and everyone yelled SUPRISE! The large house was now full!!!!
We played pool, darts and foosball. It was GREAT! The next day I was treated to a massage at the spa and we went shopping, wine tasting and hung out with everyone!
What a great feeling to have someone who cares so much for me.
