Sunday Funday

Today after church and cleaning the house we decided to head out to Comlara park. The park has various trails for walking/running and mountain biking so we thought it would be a good way to wear Callie out. I think it worked since she hasn't moved from this position since we've been home.

Sara also had her first experience mountain biking while I ran the trails. She proceeded to inform me that a mountain bike will not be on her birthday or Christmas list anytime soon!!

Basement Update #2

Don't have a great deal of progress to show. Our contractor was sick with the flu for half the week. He did get the doors framed in for the storage area under the steps and into the bathroom. He also moved a water pipe that was below the floor joyce and in the way.

We also went and picked out flooring at Home Depot. We have some samples of carpet and porcelain tile...now just need to make some decisions.

Basement construction update #1

We (our contractor really) have officially started on the basement remodeling. We can't wait to be able to use that space once it is finished. Most of the framing is already almost done. We will try to keep posting pictures of the progress.

Microwave installation

Sara and I used the Menards gift card from Christmas (thanks Dad & Deb) to replace our old microwave. Taking out the existing hood was the easy part.

Hmmm, what else am I going to need for this project??? I read the instructions at least 3 times.

The point of no return once the drilling starts.

Finally, a microwave with a working LED display. No more excuses for burning the popcorn. And yes, I'm wearing the Belicheck.
